A Collectors’ Consortium for ArtVerona

Strong of its new art director Adriana Polveroni, ArtVerona continues on its course for giving substance to the art collection-enterprise binomial. Hence the establishment of the Consorzio Collezionisti delle Pianure (‘Collectors from the Plains’ Consortium), a group of 30 select collectors, all with different points of view and sets of eyes but all unanimously focused on the world of art. The Consortium is the evolutionary child of a project centered on the figure of the collector that the event has elected as pivot of its activities and programs, making it the active star player of the Italian art system: a precious and original tool for supporting ArtVerona in enhancing corporate investments in culture. The collectors of the Consortium, the name of which is inspired by the book “Narratori delle pianure”[1] by Gianni Celati (1985), come from a territory, the Po Valley, that has the vocation of being highly entrepreneurial in many sectors of Italy’s economy. ArtVerona will inaugurate the Consortium at the 51st edition of Vinitaly, Sunday 9 April, this being the ideal occasion for linking up with other important segments of Veronafiere and for launching into the creation of new audiences and of new collectionisms.  ArtVerona, in fact, within the Italian fairs scenario, is striving to underline its status as ‘expanded and tailored’ event capable of lasting in time and in space via targeted initiatives that see it involved throughout the year as a veritable driving force in the promotion of contemporary culture. Adriana Polveroni is the new art director of ArtVerona

Adriana Polveroni is the new art director of ArtVerona | Art Project Fair, the modern and contemporary art fair that will hold its 13th edition from 13 to 16 October 2017. «We are very happy with the choice, also thanks to the work of the specifically nominated Board that examined over twenty candidates and that assisted us in finding the best solution for achieving our aims of development for ArtVerona | Art Project Fair» stated Maurizio Danese, President of Veronafiere S.p.a. «Among the tasks awaiting the immediate attention of the new director, who will hold office for three years – Danese continued – the most demanding is certainly the definition, together with the fair’s closest partners, of the cultural, artistic and organisational project of the next editions».
