The 16th edition of ArtVerona will be held from 11 to 13 December 2020, under the new artistic direction of Stefano Raimondi.
130 galleries will be selected to take part in the 16th edition of ArtVerona among those who send the submission request no later than 31 July 2020, to better define the specificity of the two pavilions: one with a clear propensity towards the context of historicized artists after the war, the other addressed to contemporary artists of the last generations.
Now more than ever, ArtVerona intends to stand next to the art galleries with its strong identity based on knowledge of the Italian territory, enterprises and collectors and most importantly with all the concrete tools, aids and contacts required to support the sector’s relaunching. To support the galleries and boost sales, ArtVerona confirms its role at commercial level as the most accessible among the major Italian fairs, with all-inclusive packages; it does not require any advance payment while applying for participation phase, but only when the participation is confirmed. We have also purchased an insurance with DUAL Italia that provides for a basic coverage of 10,000 euros per gallery, with the option of extending the policy at very competitive prices.
There are two main areas in which it will be possible to exhibit: the Main Section, which will host the established, mid-career artists and some young proposals, in a continuous dialogue between modern and contemporary. And the Research and Experimentation Area, a large research section that includes: Solo, 8 spaces for monographic presentations of young emerging artists; Next, 16 research spaces dedicated to more structured design proposals with up to 3 artists; Evolution, 6 spaces for galleries presenting experimental works of virtual reality, artificial intelligence, robotics, video games, 3D animation, big data, nanotechnologies; in addition to the special sections on invitation Introduction and Pages.
Furthermore, in cooperation with ANGAMC, we are preparing a digital platform that is intended to be a continuous channel for contact between galleries and collectors. As a matter of fact, Veronafiere is strongly committed in created synergies and target circularity of publics among its most significant events. This platform, due to become operational next October, will be offered for free to the galleries that have participated in ArtVerona 2019 and to those who will participate in the 2020 edition.
In terms of dedicated personnel and activities, the VIP Hospitality & Experience programme has been reinforced, offering to over 500 collectors, selected by the Fair and indicated by the galleries, their stay in Verona and a renovated program. In addition, the layout has been redesigned with all the necessary safety measures now required to allow for free circulation of visitors inside the pavilions without having to resort to predefined paths. Finally, a partnership agreement with the IULM University of Milan has been signed, consisting in a course for advanced knowledge of communication with the event, the market and the Italian art system, to be implemented via online events open to the general public. We are striving every day together with our board members and our team to ensure a totally safe edition of the fair, so we can all start off again together and address the challenge that the Italian art system has been called to face.
You can send your request for participation no later than October 10th.
