Veronafiere stands fast and relaunches its plan for ArtVerona from 11 to 13 December, 2020 «We will strengthen the value of the bond with our exhibitors and with our public».
Extraordinary times require careful assessment that may even lead to unprecedented decisions, with a view to maintaining a forward-looking and reviving mindset. This is the spirit in which Veronafiere today announces the change in schedule of the 16th edition of ArtVerona, whereby the Fair of modern and contemporary art will be held in 2020 from 11 to 13 December.
The decision to postpone the date of the event by two months was taken after listening closely to the exhibitors, seeing the constantly changing national and international scenarios in this period of uncertainty in which the worlds of art and of culture too are facing strategy-planning, organizational and human challenges. All this with the aim of ensuring that gallery managers and visitors be treated with the highest quality standards possible.
«Our intention is to safeguard with all of the instruments we have at our disposal all of the events programmed for Veronafiere, some of which must be rescheduled for the second half of the year, thanks to an ambitious industrial plan for physical and digital upgrading recently launched. This decision indicates our will to strengthen the precious and gratifying wealth of relations built up and augmented in 15 years of ArtVerona» – Maurizio Danese, president of Veronafiere S.p.A., explains.
«Now more than ever, we firmly believe that the next edition of ArtVerona will become a concrete example of the proficiency and revival of the ‘Italy system’ – Stefano Raimondi, the new Art Director of ArtVerona claims. In this moment of uncertainty, it is important to come together as a network, to listen to the various needs and to reinforce the dialogue between the national and international operators who are contributing to defining and promoting the Italian art system. The event will focus on experimentation, innovation and the transfer of knowledge».
The 16th edition of ArtVerona, that will welcome visitors through the majestic covered walkway of the Re Teodorico entrance completed for and resulting from the significant overhaul of the Veronafiere structures, will offer many new contents. Starting with this concept renewal, there will be new sections and interventions too, also thanks to the new contribution of national and international curators and to the proven and consolidated organisational team.
